No. I focus exclusively on developmental work — structure, pacing, arcs, and clarity at the story level. Once you've revised based on developmental feedback, a separate line or copyeditor is the right next step.

This depends on the project but can be discussed upon consultation. Generally, a full manuscript developmental edit takes 4–8 weeks, while a chapter critique can usually be delivered in 1–2 weeks. For newsletter and website copy services, turnaround times vary based on the scope and frequency of content needed. A popular option is a monthly newletter in which A date will be selected and regular content will appear at that interval.
Yes. Most of my clients are working on their first or second novel. Developmental editing is especially valuable early in a writer's development — it builds pattern recognition and craft knowledge that carries across every project.
